Seafood Cookery Demonstrations 2012 Chef and fishmonger demonstrations will take place throughout the day on the “Castles Kitchens”, live theatre stages, fitted with CCTV and plasma screens for better audience enjoyment. Opening the show on Castles Stage One at 10.45am: Fish Filleting by Award-winning Fishmongers Duncan and Sue Lucas who are “Passionate about Fish”. On Castles Stage Two at 10.45am: Richard Hunt performs a MasterClass with audience participation. At Noon on Stage One: there will be a special MasterClass by Michelin-star chef Simon Hulstone (The Elephant, Torquay) with audience participation. At 1130 on Stage Two: David Galpin will perform a Masterclass of seafood preparation & cooking with audience participation. From 1230 on Stage Two: David Galpin, David Berry & David Wells (S D College) will perform and invite members of the public to participate in Seafood Preparation & Cooking (David Galpin's team of chef tutors from South Devon College will lead classes of seafood preparation and cookery for local children from 1030 in the Yeovil College “Feast-Bus”.) At 1315 on Stage One: Simon Hulstone goes head to head against Andy Sewell (resident chef The Quayside, Brixham) in Ready Steady Cook. At 1430 on Stage One: Mitch Tonks (Author, TV chef and proprietor Seahorse and Rockfish Dartmouth) takes the stage with David Jones (Manna from Devon Cookery School) in Ready Steady Cook. At 1545 on Stage One: Richard Hunt and David Jones go head to head in Ready Steady Cook to close the Seafood Show. Brixham’s finest seafood chefs will run the Kitsons-Solicitors sponsored Seafood Piazza, cooking up a storm of fresh fish to be sold throughout the day in aid of the Fishermen’s Mission. These chefs are masters of their trade and their demonstrations will delight the crowds as well as the taste buds! Features Andy Sewell (Quayside), Rob Bateman (Berry Head Hotel), Gordon Gout (Tides) & Simone Cook (Beamers), plus chefs Kevin Robertson-Wells from the Crab Quay House and Ben Ward from the Old Market House. Janice Cooke & Ron Campion will be running a Seafood Bar-B-Q. Robert's Fisheries will be running a Fresh Fish Stall and Oyster Bar featuring the freshest Brixham & S Devon fish. There will be many other fine Seafood outlets offering the finest of sustainably caught fresh fish from the English Channel, right on our doorstep!
