Congratulations to Fishstock Organiser

A very well done is in order for Jim Portus, Fishstock event organiser, for winning the Marsh Award from the Heritage and Craft Association.     Jim travelled to the Victoria & Albert museum with his wife Margaret and John and Sheila Anderson (Fishermen's Mission) to pick up his award and the £500 prize which he has pledged to Fishstock for 2012.      Jim win's the award for his outstanding contribution as a volunteer for his part in ensuring that the crafts and heritage of fishing are celebrated and showcased through the Fishstock event each year.        This prestigous award from the National Association for Heritage will raise awareness of the contribution that Fishstock makes in maintaining and promoting the old crafts of the fishing industry.
