CELEBRATE GREAT SEAFOOD WITH MUSIC AND MORE AT FISHSTOCK BRIXHAM 2017 Multi – Award – Winning, 1-day Seafood and Music Festival on Saturday September 9th.

The team at Fishstock Brixham 2017 have fabulous plans for their “fishy-FUNd-raising” festival, held in aid of the Fishermen’s Mission (Charity No. 232822).

Her Majesty the Queen is Patron of the Fishermen’s Mission. Long may she reign!

Past events since 2012 have won Gold and Silver Awards as “Tourism Event of the Year” in the Herald Express English Riviera and South Devon Tourism and Hospitality Awards. Fishstock Brixham has also won plaudits and received acclaim for its contributions to acknowledging Brixham's Maritime Heritage. Fishstock Brixham is a major fund-raising event for the Fishermen’s Mission charity.

Catering & Hospitality professionals from South Devon College will be running the “Fisheries and Seafood Education Zone” at Fishstock Brixham 2017, with cookery classes and demonstrations of seafood preparation skills for all ages.

This year the event celebrates great fish & seafood with fabulous rock music on the “Coombe Fisheries” sponsored Sound Events Stage. We boast a line-up of many talented local bands. We are proud to announce that the Headline Act for 2017 is everyone's favourite local band 3BF (3 Bags Full), who will perform during the afternoon sessions.

Also featured will be Rock ‘n’ Rollers, Duke Johnson & the Scorchers, plus Luna Blue, Departed, Rage and The Mighty Sasquatch, plus many more.

On the “Falfish” sponsored Sound Events Stage, we will welcome Devon Bird, Leighe J Hall, Southern Comfort, Rio, Maggie Duffy and Bob Thomson, along with many other local Folk, Roots and Acoustic bands.

Seafood Gourmets will be enthralled by seafood chefs on the two “Food is Fun” Kitchen Theatre stages. This year we have Fishstock regulars Simon Hulstone, Mitch Tonks & David Jones from Dartmouth, S Devon College’s Dave Galpin, Mark Provan & Dave Berry, plus many more great seafood talents.

There will be boats alongside to tour, including modern “Beam-trawler” Barentszee and heritage fishing smacks, Pilgrim & Vigilance. Sponsored by Maritime International Solutions (Insurers) Ltd, experts will demonstrate net-making and mending, withy lobster pots weaving, boat building skills and all things fishy.

There truly is something for all the family to eat, to drink and to enjoy at Fishstock Brixham 2017 on 9th September.

Entry fee for the day is £6 per person over 15. After 7pm the entry will be £4. Accompanied Under 16s Free.

Dogs are not permitted on the fish market by order of Torbay Council. However, we provide a free to use dog crèche during the day until 6pm.

We are all supporting the fishing community of Brixham through the works of the Fishermen’s Mission. This work has been done tirelessly by John Anderson in South Devon and throughout westcountry fishing ports and communities. We wish John and his wife Sheila a long and happy retirement when he leaves the Fishermen's Mission in June 2017. We will welcome a new Mission Superintendent to Fishstock Brixham 2017.
